Once a country loses its ability to produce, getting it back is brutally hard. But if we don’t get it back, we will lose more than factories, we will eventually lose sovereignty, resilience, and our future. A nation that can’t manufacture can’t lead long term, and can’t defend.

Everyone chill out. Codify tariffs into the tax bill for revenue and reshoring, take out wasteful pork spending, and let’s close the damn deficit and remain the shining city on the hill 🇺🇸.

I had the opportunity to do Senate testimony about re-shoring manufacturing. I explained the whole history of @guardianbikes and why we took a bet and started our own factory in the US. Manufacturing in America isn't theoretical. It is achievable, sustainable, and necessary.

Interesting way to reframe the analogous conclusion that manufacturing companies are less capital efficient than software companies.

At IPO, Proto Labs (a Manufacturing-as-a-Service business) generated $1.28 in incremental gross profit for every $1 spent on sales & marketing. That’s 3.7x more efficient than Snowflake at $0.35. Manufacturing is capital-efficient — it just routes capital through CapEx instead

Thanks @thebrianriley for the tour! You were a gracious and welcoming host. I had a great time learning about how @guardianbikes balances automation with human labor and how dedicated everyone at your company is about making American-made bikes. Keep up the great work!.

My favorite placement has been putting a Marine Corps supply chain guru in the only manufacturer of bikes in the USA. @thebrianriley makes the best bikes in the world over at @guardianbikes. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Amazon has taken their internal KPIs and flywheel too far and have helped enable import fraud on a massive scale. This kind of stuff has to stop. Great breakdown:.

@twistartups @stevenborrelli @cutsclothing @Jason @alex There is another side of the story you are not telling. Ecom companies like @guardianbikes are investing millions of dollars in rapidly expanding our own US factory. We have 250 dedicated employees at our factory in Indiana right now. I can tell you, people DO want these.
