I no longer get notifications when people message me, but I do get alerted when E**n M**k or D****d T***p do a tweet. This is not an algorithm I have ever fed.

It was always my dream to play @officialronnies. I once had an anxiety dream that I finally got a gig, but forgot to book musicians. Even after many years of playing there, it's still a big buzz. It was fun playing with Guy Barker at the beautifully refurbished club last week.

We had a lovely duo gig for @shorelinesarts in Portumna on Friday. It was like putting on a pair of old boots. Two battered soles with a bit of a stench, but ultimately warm and very comfy.

I’ve been playing with @DukeSpecial for 18 years. Our friendship is legally allowed to buy its own pint. I was already a big fan before @paulpilotweb booked me to play on Songs from the Deep Forest, and I’m an even bigger fan now.

It was a massive treat to be involved in this fantastic @bbcproms. @samsmith is a phenomenal artist and has exquisite taste in clarinet players. The radio broadcast is up on @BBCiPlayer now and will be on TV later this month.
