The proofs are horribly written, clearly not by mathematicians. They are so poorly written that they actively stifled my understanding by making a lot of things seem way more complicated than they actually are.

I'm a professor who teaches the class that uses this book. It sucks ass. One of the worst textbooks I've ever had to open. Barely any exercises, the exercises that do exist sucks, the notation for the pseudocode is atrocious. It's a disaster of a textbook

this is why I don't respect economics as a discipline. real scientists should approach it with a "get in get out" mentality and stick to further developing econophysics
Once again: modern economics makes a lot more sense when you give up on the silly idea that it is - or should ever be - an empirical science
