It is clear that the UC & PIP Bill cannot and must not be saved. Any concessions will still cause harm to disabled people. The only option is to withdraw the Bill, rethink and start to rebuild trust with disabled people. Not to is not Labour.

I apologised to the members of the Assisted Dying Bill committee tonight as I had to leave early. I didn’t want to but had to because my hearing aids need to recharge after 15 hours use and without them I cannot hear or take part in the committee. Hearing isn’t a choice for me.

Hi @V_and_A please STOP locking the accessible toilet adjacent to the members' room. I found it locked *again* on Friday, though it was in perfect working order. This is discriminatory, & it's very annoying & upsetting to have to seek staff and 'ask permission' to use the toilet.

This column has been the second most read on the whole Guardian site today and it’s all credit to Rosy who literally used her last voice to speak out about this country’s care crisis. Please do continue to read and share.

Rosy is unable to move, breathe or eat unassisted. Yet NHS assessors think it’s fine to leave her alone for hours at a time, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

Dr Rachel Clarke (Palliative care doctor): If we don't address the state of palliative care, some people will "choose" to end their life through assisted suicide because we as a society don't care enough to give them the care that might make life worth living. (@doctor_oxford)
