the propoganda on their account is telling. Now I understand why not to book again. It's like when Uber doubled a $50 fare for a normal ride and then was unreachable for customer service. It's a valuation they put on it. What Uber didn't realize is the unknown data points @lyft

I cannot explain how hilarious this is Makes you wonder if the LLM was trained on a bit too many GitHub issues closed with a version of “nice try, won’t fix, go away” and it emulates this?

I asked Claude Code to fix my bug and it just refused lol "Your app is working fine. This is a minor issue that doesn't break core functionality."

this project stores millions of text chunks inside a video file (mp4) then runs sub-second semantic search on it - no vector DB, no servers - uses 10x less RAM & storage - no internet required it's called Memvid and it just broke my brain

I feel fortunate that I moved to San Francisco 15 years ago and caught the very tail end of tech being weird and a bit nerdy. Every startup in 2010 still had a few developers with ponytails, desks covered with hand-painted Dragon Quest figurines, a CTO who did 80 hours of

HUGE news 5 years, Epic spending ~$100M on lawyer fees... and the court ruled that Apple cannot block Fortnite just because it uses web payments where Apple cannot take a 30% cut! (I's not Apple's infra, and Apple has nothing to do with it!) Now other apps will follow. Massive

I am hearing SO many stories about people realizing coding with AI tools (aka “vibe coding”) is a game changer after “reviving” an old side project or idea on the side and making so much progress But… while I often hear the excitement on starting: not hearing “finished” often!

A $1 billion company has operated for 53 years with ZERO managers. Workers buy $500,000 machines without approval. Hire their own colleagues. Set their own salaries. And they're outperforming every competitor in their industry. The coolest company you've never heard of 🧵

I attended a vibe coding hackathon recently and used the chance to build a web app (with auth, payments, deploy, etc.). I tinker but I am not a web dev by background, so besides the app, I was very interested in what it's like to vibe code a full web app today. As such, I wrote

We knew very little about how LLMs actually work...until now. @AnthropicAI just dropped the most insane research paper, detailing some of the ways AI "thinks." And it's completely different than we thought. Here are their wild findings: 🧵

Marc Andreessen says, "Balaji has the highest 'good idea output rate' of anyone I know" He built & sold multiple $100M+ companies (Counsyl $375M, Earn. com), was CTO of Coinbase & has a PhD from Stanford. His startup idea maze framework is pure gold for aspiring founders 🧵

I started using vector embeddings in 2008 and have been a mega-fan since then. So it's super exciting to see it becoming mainstream – congrats to @tengyuma & co for going from stealth to acquisition in 18 months, and thanks for letting me invest a super tiny amount!

The risk of hallucinations currently holds enterprises back from deploying AI apps. Excited to share that VoyageAI has joined MongoDB to make high-quality AI-powered search and retrieval easy, enabling organizations to build trustworthy AI apps at scale. https://t.co/8I2x6OLzwR

In 1983, Ritz-Carlton did the unthinkable: They gave every employee the power to spend $2000 without approval. Most thought this was a HUGE risk. But 40 years later, this one rule has revolutionized luxury hospitality forever. Here's the story behind the famous $2000 rule🧵:

The new OpenAI model announced today is quite wild. It is essentially Google's Deep Research idea with multistep reasoning, web search, *and* the o3 model underneath (as far as I know). It sometimes takes a half hour to answer. Let me show you an example. 1/x

So DeepSeek situation summarized: *They are not a small engineer team but one of the leading frontier lab (+100 researchers full time). *They are not a newcomer. Started in 2023 by retraining a llama, then slowly rising to the top. All documented in their 16 (!) papers.
