“The Final Catastrophe”: the people of Zamzam in the wake of the comprehensive destruction of the camp by the Rapid Support Forces. Flight in any direction has grave risks; many will starve, die of thirst or exposure—or more RSF violence. Team Zamzam is looking ahead:

#SAF has engaged in a long series of war crimes/crimes against humanity in #Sudan’s brutal war. But however evil—indeed genocidal—the #RSF may be, this cannot justify the indiscriminate SAF aerial attacks so frequently reported. Use of “barrel bombs” is particularly disturbing:

Many of these are cases of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), which will likely kill children outside a therapeutic feeding center. The rate of increase in malnturition here should be terrifying, but a preoccupied world refuses to look directly at this massive catastrophe.
