If you were mixing on Christmas Day then this is really important. It may shock you to know that if you’ve been in contact wit someone that has Covid, you will be most infectious around Hogmanay. You also may have no idea you’ve even caught it Please share.

From October to March, we can’t make enough vitamin D from sunshine. It’s best to take a vitamin D supplement for healthy bones and muscles, adults and children just need 10 micrograms a day. You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and supermarkets. https://t.co/HecEGvj7gC

During an online conversation today someone mentioned those incidental “have you got a minute?” conversations we can miss on zoom; those vital seconds when you have your coat on, car keys in hand & a person with courage who’s the voice of many speaks out & opens a can of worms 🙏

Many new coronavirus cases in Carlisle and Eden relate to house parties or BBQs where there was mixing between groups from multiple households. We urge people to think carefully before holding these types of gathering. You can spread the virus even if you do not have symptoms.

What's the justification for this aside from PR and bolstering testing numbers? Much better to offer STI, hepatitis B & C and HIV testing - we actually understand the results and have treatments.

So over 88% of new contacts in last 2 weeks have been identified by local public health teams. Why have we still got 25,000 call handlers employed by Serco? Someone must have the courage to dismantle this ineffective centralised contract & give the millions saved to local gov?

Just explained @BBCEngland that test and trace has picked up 10K new cases in last 2 weeks which is minority of new cases as reported by @ONS. National tracers have reached 10,000 out of 87,000 reported contacts thru 25,000 staff
