To mark interfaith week, as well as competitions and lessons our students are wearing these lanyards and completing acts of service to highlight that service is in all religions and non religious worldviews. #courageousadvocacy

For all those who gave their lives for us, and those who continue to sacrifice for the safety of others. Thank you.

Each of my senior team work damn hard. They are in very early, they stay late (by choice edutwitter before you get silly), do every duty, and are everywhere and everything to everyone. They also lead strategic areas, often things the DFE have asked us to do. Who else does this?
❌ Ministers have suggested rising numbers of assistant heads could be the place to target cost-cutting as schools are forced to make savings to fund future teacher pay rises. So what’s behind the rise, and is a cut do-able? @lydiachSW investigates... https://t.co/H2SBdIvgNM

Hugely mixed offer currently
With news that the Curriculum Review may be requiring schools to offer triple science, here are the current arrangements from @TeacherTapp. Science timetabling is incredibly complex… https://t.co/ma1twcFDQF

Not a bad way to start my 39th year. October half-term in Spain is definitely going to become a regular holiday!

Library Update – Readathon Week 2! There’s been a shake-up in the leaderboard! Heron has swooped into the lead — but only by 25 books! It’s still anyone’s game as we head into the final week of our Readathon. Which house will emerge as the 2025 Readathon Champion?

Plans are not more important than pupils Recently I’ve heard colleagues say that they feel that they have to get through the content, particularly with bought in plans. /1

The longer I've worked in education, the more apparent it's become: simple, consistent routines, applied with love, regular recognition & praise for getting it right &, when necessary, predictable consequences for not following the rules, has the greatest positive impact overall.
