Exciting news! We are starting a year-long community residency at @WMGallery. We feel a strong affinity with Morris’s values of fellowship and social justice and we’re looking forward to engaging with his work together. Thank you to the gallery for welcoming the S&S community.

We had such a wonderful session with Saturn class. We are filled with hope and gratitude that the next generation are growing up to be compassionate citizens and will build a welcoming community for new arrivals.
This morning, @stories_supper - a charity that brings local people together with refugees and asylum seekers to share stories - came in to tell Saturn class about their work. They gave us some books for our library & the children wrote their own poems! #Community #Creativity

We celebrated #WorldRefugeeDay with Year 4 pupils at Stoneydown Park in #e17. We were bowled over by their knowledge. They've read lots about refugee experiences before our visit and we know they will show #compassion and welcome new arrivals. Thanks to @FdnFutureLondon

A final thought: however difficult the last few days have been, it simply doesn’t compare to having to flee your home from persecution or war to seek refuge in a land far away. It’s heartwarming to have seen the empathy towards their plight from so many of you. 3/4

Well done @GaryLineker. Keep going. You speak for so many Brits. And when footballers speak far more sense than government, you know we need a new government.

We need safe routes now @SuellaBraverman – not a cruel and inhumane asylum system. We have a responsibility to provide sanctuary for those in danger – a responsibility we signed up to after the Second World War. We are not meeting that responsibility.
The UK govt's approach to migration is cruel and inhumane. The absence of safe routes and the criminalisation of people seeking safety force more people to risk their lives at sea – with devastating effects. RT or QT this to tell @SuellaBraverman we need safe routes now!
