Really useful guidance here. I know many people shy away from conversations (especially on here!) because migration in particular is such a heated topic. I do also like some stats to add to my storytelling!.

Some really important facts to counter the idea that the RNLI are some kind of ‘migrant taxi’ service. I am a proud crew member & all we care about is saving lives. ❤️.
The facts behind our work in the Channel. In 2024, our crews launched 114 times to Channel crossings – that's just 1.2% of our total launches. Our core purpose is to save lives at sea. Anyone can drown, but no one should.
