Pope Francis & now Pope Leo the SOLE global religious leaders speaking out constantly against war and all forms of state-sanctioned violence, including the horrendous treatment of refugees and asylum seekers fleeing war. In Australia, many “prominent” Catholics are conservative.

Visited #Rafah crossing today with Mary Robinson. Saw trucks w/ medical & food supplies which had been blocked from delivering to #Gaza. Heartbreaking that near where we were, people are killed at food distribution sites & children die of starvation. The war must end. @TheElders
