@balajis The bottoms up is inefficient and difficult. I am working with family that are high risk and having to use my capital with them to overcome basic life hinderances they want to avoid. There is no network effect and I am underwriting the trade offs, one off.

@SportsCardInv @OldTownCards Don't just look at sale price. In the last 90 days 14 sales went without a buyer, of those 13 of them have been in the past 7 days. I think this has more to do with lack of demand rather than hitting a price ceiling.

@ilpulcino @OldTownCards Not here to trigger people. I am no gatekeeper, I am renewed in the hobby for the past two years. My observation though is that the hobby could benefit from being a bit more self aware about what is collecting, investing and gambling.

@LeviMolen @OldTownCards I actually have a collection of pebbles and rocks. Probably not related to your point though. There is a difference between caring nothing about value and everything about value. Maybe my point was too subtle.

@OldTownCards No doubt, everyone wants to see the things they collect appreciate. I do think a lot of people conflate their collecting with investing. Inheritly though, lower prices benefit a collection because you can buy more for less.
