So while we will come in today to do what we always do, take excellent care of patients, I beg of all of us to provide excellent care to each other. There are hospitals full of patients that need us. Our students, trainees, nurses and partners, they need you. ❤️

That being said, I would like to remind all of us, no matter your political affiliation, that what happened overnight will be incredibly triggering to many. Especially to our most socially vulnerable team members, who have very publicly been shown that many value them less.

The hospital is a 24/7, 365 day a year operation. Sickness doesn’t take a holiday, emergencies don’t keep regular hours. We all will come to work today to do our job for our patients and I have no doubt we will do it excellently. That’s what we are trained to do. 🧵
