Wayne Larkins was one of those swashbuckling types that I remember from that fantastic tournament called the Nehru Cup in ‘89. He scored a century in one of the games, impressively at close to what I now see was nearly a 100 S/R! Vale Ned!.
Roomed with Ned, as most us knew him, during a one-day tournament in India and he was most companionable. A man who emptied bars with his incendiary batting and the hotel minibar after to douse the fire……. RIP Ned.
