📢Urgent appeal to @JM_Whiteside: address the critical need for a culturally appropriate detox centre in Northwest B.C. Northern First Nations Alliance has proposed a holistic facility to combat the shortage of treatment options. Support accessible mental health services #bcpoli

Racism has no place in our sports or our society as a whole. That's why we need more coaches like Brian MacGillivray, not fewer. Parents and players deserve answers. I hope to see @SurreyMinor do the right thing and revisit their decision.
I condemn the racist incident at a recent youth hockey game in Surrey and applaud the actions of coach Macgillivray stepping in and protecting the players. It's disappointing that he has since been fired without explanation. No one should be punished for doing what's right.

“There is no reconciliation without economic reconciliation and inclusion. First Nations are the original stewards of the land and resources and are now unfairly being barred from the modern implementation of Treaty rights and revenue sharing,” said FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron.

I am horrified to learn of the heinous murder of Paul Stanley Schmidt in Vancouver yesterday. My heart goes out to his wife, daughter, and all who witnessed this senseless and random act of violence. #bcpoli

Climate activists don't speak for all Indigenous people. Our communities are fully capable to decide for themselves if resource development is in our best interests.

Another NDP failure on economic reconciliation with First Nations, putting the interests of NDP favoured unions over the Cowichan Tribes. Premier Eby needs to scrap CBAs. #bcpoli
David Eby purposely removed First Nations' ability to work on public projects in favour of NDP-friendly unions. Now, 85% of workers are left out & projects are facing enormous cost overruns. This is extremely concerning. My chat with @Adam_Stirling👇 https://t.co/7KolWhjMmY

Will Premier Eby show leadership and not only condemn these new remarks that have come to light but also remove @routledge_janet from her role as Parliamentary Secretary for Labour? The BC Legislature is no place for such vulgar and offensive remarks. #bcpoli

The BC NDP's discriminatory CBA regime benefits their union friends while deliberately blocking Indigenous-owned companies from working on community projects on their lands. I wrote to the Premier asking him to stop this blatant violation of economic reconciliation. #bcpoli

I had to find out via Twitter. It’s sloppy, disrespectful and not the way to treat your most important partners.

Disappointing that David Eby's first decision as incoming Premier is to shut down the Indigenous-led 2030 Olympic Bid. For a govt. that wants to be serious about reconciliation, the least Eby can do is to tell this directly to the Host Nations - but he can't even do that. #bcpoli

Breaking news - the Tribunal says Canada cannot go below the $40K in compensation that First Nations children are already legally entitled due to Canada's discrimination that separated from their families, hurt and in some cases linked to children's deaths.
The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has provided a letter-decision with reasons to follow on the Compensation Final Settlement Agreement. Read the Caring Society's statement below. You can read the letter-decision here: https://t.co/Dy8fCdEycV
