Housing targets always trump everything else. Great that @CommunityPlann1 supporters were able to get their views across for this story. βNo shops, no schoolsβ: homes in England built without basic amenities https://t.co/mL8dg598HR

Lovely event yesterday, at the Leaside Trust by @ELWaterworks: looking at diverse community voices shaping this amazing project. Hope our council see the light and understand the value of it allβ¦.

For a man who is supposed to protect nature this is seriously wishy washy, βMinisters will make decisions about what they believe are the best choices and weβll see where we finish up.β He should be fighting tooth and nail to have Part III paused and consulted on
I've interviewed Tony Juniper, Natural England chair. He was necessarily diplomatic about the planning bill. I only hope central govt listens to his expert advice!

Such a special moment yesterday, spent with @WF_Women, celebrating personal stories of resilience and growth, and the amazing history of the Sufragettes. #LeytonE10

Once again schemes designed but completely disconnected to where they are claiming space. Let's hope this doesn't start for years, similarly to every other development signed off by Waltham Forest Council since 2021 in #LeaBridge. photo: tree 'grave yard', our marshes 2020

Huge let down from Waltham Forest Council, at the service of developers only ... not serving existing communities, as per usual. Major blow to the marshes and open green land surrounding this space. Referred to as 'a large park' in the PR blurb π€£π... continued. #LeaBridge

Shifting baseline syndrome explains how we normalise the continual visceration of once unimaginably rich ecosystems. Rewilding β our minds, lands, and seas β is the solution. π

'Hard Right' political parties have made sweeping gains across Europe - in the first European Union elections since Brexit. The results were so overwhelming that in France, President Emmanuel Macron immediately dissolved parliament and called a national election.

We asked local people what their hopes and fears for the planet are. We collected over 115 messages and 40% of those messages were around action. Waltham Forest residents are saying that we need action on the connected crises and we need it now!
