Mamdani notably says "first order of business" for him as mayor "will frankly be the Rent Guidelines Board and freezing the rent." Mayor Adams is exploring stacking the board to try to block a freeze. "I think it's an obstacle but I think it's one we can overcome," Mamdani says.
