Fantastic day at our first SKPT @ogdentrust session led by the fab @KerryColyer - it was a pleasure dropping in and seeing our teachers getting inspired for Physics. Thanks to @coopbellevue for being excellent hosts esp lab tech Stella!

Working @coopbellevue today, a student came up to me…. “Tell me about Physics at Oxford”. 15mins later, we’d discussed the tutorial system, the challenges, the requirements, and how she could find out more about physics now. I thought that was it until this appeared… 🩵

Sending well wishes to all our @CoopAcademies GCSE students, and around the country, currently sitting their first Science exam 🥼📝. This year I’ve seen first hand the hard work of staff @CoopAcademyNM preparing students - including @DMcIntyreSci and Dr Matis running.

Think this was fairly unique - joining up science and maths trainees 🥼🧮. So much to learn from each other. And only a slightly heated debate over what constitutes a “line of best fit”…. 😬. We had science and maths trainees from @swintoncoop, I’m excited to see them work more.

Fantastic day with @CoopAcademies @BF_SCITT Maths and Science trainees. We explored each others curriculum and teaching approaches to more effectively support each other and ultimately students. Thanks for making it happen @_AndyGibson and our maths directors Jo and Jay

I’d been hearing rumours on this but this exceeds my expectations and is really exciting. Already signed up to the info webinar…!.

It was visits like this that slowly convinced me anything was possible and set me on a path to @UniofOxford @jesus_access - which was 100% the right path for me. And might be for some of these student too. These visits sit within the wider package of what we do as teachers to.
