Our students had an incredible opportunity to visit Freshfields law firm in Manchester, where they took part in The Big Legal Lesson! They worked alongside real lawyers, explored the many roles within the legal profession, and took part in lively debates on key legal topics.

Tomorrow we hold our first ever Summer Fair! We have a huge range of stall holders from the local area joining us! Doors open from 11:00!

A group of our Y9 pupils got the chance to visit Loreto College where they participated in a mock Crown Court Trial!

We had a fabulous day at @coopfailsworth for a @citcmancity event with Kelloggs. Our pupils did a range of events showing great communication, resilience, motivational skills and which culminated in that lifting the top prize! Well done to all our students involved!

Last week our Y9 girls were lucky enough to attend a Maths4gGirls virtual conference hosted by @Estelle_Keeber, where our pupils learned about working in social media, the places this exciting career could lead them, and of course the different ways in which maths is involved!

We are thrilled to hear that our volunteer partners and local business, Bunzl, have been awarded the Co-op award for Making a Difference - Social Value Leaders. Bunzl are a fabulous part of our school community and this award couldn't be more deserved!

Over 6 weeks, our Y10s have worked with local companies for virtual work experience. Today’s grand final saw top groups present to the year. Huge congrats to the winners who worked with Bunzl and won Man Utd kits! Big thanks to all our brilliant partners for their support!

We had a fantastic couple of days with our new Y6s during our transition days! They showed enthusiasm, formed friendships, and got a taste of The Swinton Way ahead of September. They participated in art, history drama and more plus engaging sessions from Barnardo's and I-Reach!

We're still thinking about Prom on Wednesday night! Our Y11's looked absolutely incredible! 🤩

Today, Year 5 students from Wardley took part in a secondary school taster session, offering them a valuable introduction to the next stage of their education and a chance to experience life beyond primary. It was a pleasure to introduce them to The Swinton Way!

Our Y11 prom last night did not disappoint! The perfect send off for our incredible Y11s! Well done to our Prom King and Queen and to all the award winners. See you all on results day!

A huge well done to a group of our Y7 students! Naomi, Mia, Grace, Tia, Scarlett, Jacob, Jaazaniah and Athena who took part in the Time for Change project, creating a presentation to present to other schools at Angel Square! They did us proud!

A group of our Y10 students attended a Bunzl work experience workshop, creating their own meal deal and then using their ideas to create a pitch which was judged by their peers and members of staff.

We are so proud of the fantastic work our students produce! The Art Department has produced a whole school gallery display for our hardworking photography students - we hope you all enjoy seeing your own artwork each day! 📸
