Salman is one of those people who improves the academic experience of everyone he interacts with. A great colleague in addition to a great researcher. Don’t miss a chance to hire him!.
Thankful to have been awarded a K99/R00 by the @NIH @NIMHgov to study how reinforcement learning influences memory in the human brain using intracranial recordings and computational cognitive models. If you've been itching to hire someone who does these things, now's your chance!

Excited to have a new commentary in @BiologicalPsyc1 on @Haber_Lab subcortical neuroanatomy findings. Read on for a discussion of which brain structures we target when treating #OCD with #DBS, and which mental processes seem to change in response:

So glad to be at a place where we offer patients the full range of neuromodulation therapies (ECT, TMS, VNS, DBS), making work like this possible.
BIG NEWS!!! Wow, amazing to be part of this landmark study comparing #ketamine to the 'gold standard' #ECT for treatment-resistant #depression. Huge team at @IcahnMountSinai @IcahnDAC @SinaiBrain @MountSinaiPsych joined multi-site effort to get this done!.

Wow! Big news. Congrats.
I could not be more excited about this new adventure with @BrainsWay! It is wonderful to see industry investing in scientists to help guide them forward! A refreshing development in #translational bridges between the science of #TMS and clinical care.

How amazing that the first results of exome sequencing align with @MarinaP63’s classic work on the reinforcement mechanisms contributing to compulsive nicotine use. Those were great papers to read for quals back in grad school. And now human neuroscience is catching up!.
Excited to share our new preprint in which we report an exome-wide association study of smoking behavior in up-to ~750,000 individuals which discovered a beautiful drug target. Please take a seat. It's storytelling time. 🧵.
