Last week, I may have DEI’d too close to the sun and attracted anti-NIH folks to my profile who then claimed that my research is useless and a waste of time and money. I beg to differ! Allow me to explain in lay terms how my research in mice is relevant to human health: 🧵

My PhD work is out! How do mothers balance tending to their own needs, such as eating, and taking care of their offspring? We examined the link between feeding and parenting neural circuits and how they are modulated postpartum in mice 🧵 (1/9) PREPRINT: https://t.co/ICINJIAb5u

I'm super excited to share this paper just preprinted by my group! We used a ton of post-mortem datasets (bulk RNAseq, snRNAseq, FISH, LCMseq) from PsychEncode cohorts to try to understand what's happening to GABAergic interneuron subtypes in human schizophrenia.

Beyond grateful to share two co-first author papers that came out in @Nature!! With @AmitVinograd, we provide causal evidence for a line attractor in the mammalian brain! And with @MengyuLiu96, we show that line attractors might be a common mechanism for emotions beyond anger!
