@mpeytonjones @RYChappell Yepp, i think we’re on the same page. Except that I take ethics to be fundamentally about decision procedures, and therefore am writing a post about how modern academic moral philosophy should be understood as doing “philosophy of ethics” rather than ethics itself.

everyone non-ironically arguing about 'analytic' or 'continental' philosophy was either cryogenically frozen last 100 years, or a first year philosophy student.
Contemporary analytic philosophy would instantaneously achieve a new level of self-consciousness if it simply acknowledged that many of its central disputes are first and foremost battles between philosophical metaphors.
