the "appropriate privacy" is not to build with backdoors and trusted parties, luckily we are progressing towards consensus that "pragmatic privacy" (i.e. building for more surveillance) is not what onchain finance should be.

everyone non-ironically arguing about 'analytic' or 'continental' philosophy was either cryogenically frozen last 100 years, or a first year philosophy student.
Contemporary analytic philosophy would instantaneously achieve a new level of self-consciousness if it simply acknowledged that many of its central disputes are first and foremost battles between philosophical metaphors.
