Looking to understand yourself? This thread will pave the way as a convergence point between philosophy, neurology, psychology, and biology. It will provide the tools and insights to address the way you (co) identify with states and traits.

"I don't want another life, this life is all that matters So, let's push the boat out" @buridansridge 's poetry is always so immersive. I adore it.
conversations until the early hours are often the most honest in this way, we were always searching for the truth outliers, border dwellers weavers of worlds conduits of all that was, all that is and all that will be meeting in the liminal sacred knowledge understood because we

This was one of the best papers I read on depression and addiction that @SimsYStuart sent my way. I've got a lot of the affective origins of both in The Attachment Compass already, but this one was the first one with a great build-up and tie-in of endogenous opioids that I

I can't remember if it was @BowTiedYukon or @Bartek_Kamyk_ who shared rear delt rows like this bent over. But I'm basically screaming at the end of a set from digging deep. I've put this in rotation a while ago, and it feels like I'm finally catching the groove.

It's tragic in a sense, because I saw this early on with personal trainers on Instagram in the early days: their entire identity was tied to being a PT. So when they wanted to branch out, or talk about other things, or evolve, or anything else, they were either A) too afraid to

I've been saying this ever since I heard a sea squirt eats its own brain when it finds a place it doesn't need to move from: MOVE OR DIE. You literally have no choice, there is no debate, there is no "BuT AkShuAlLy", there are no excuses, you wake up and you move that day.
Here is a wake-up call for every longevity biohacker and age-reversal doctor out there. Before you make another bold claim about turning back the clock… before you talk about pills, peptides, or gene therapies… there is something you need to understand. There is a reason you

It keeps surprising me that so few have figured this out. Most of my clients have had all the toys and high-end experiences, and they very often stumble to connect to their generative drive. It's a central point of the work I do with them, leading them deeper and deeper through
Imagine you finally get all the power, control and wealth you dream of. You then buy all the stuff that you salivate over. Toys, homes, experiences. All of it. Okay. Tough Question: Now what? Seriously. After the party gets old: Now what?

This is just largely another memetic contagion. As he points out, it just isn't generative for most of them. Go figure out what is generative for you instead, and muster the inkling of courage to admit it to yourself.
The issue isn’t that homesteading is bad, but rather that 90% of the discussion is dictated by people tucking tail and running away from society rather than genuinely born and bred forest people

A guy I was friends with who has since blown up in the red pill sphere on YouTube had exactly this fantasy, to reject hot girls, and man, did he run with that bone. Safe to say that "friendship" didn't last very long, and he's still running the same scripts. Inferiority

Maybe it'll end up being a case of taking out the middle. So that those who practice the art, humanly through connection and understanding, those will be the ones who thrive.
Doctors, if you behave like drones, AI will replace you We can’t just be cogs in a system. AI that will replace you is already studying your behavior If medicine is not an art, it will be replaced If the bedside manner is cold/robotic, then people will choose a robot over you

I was at an exhibition of books of this century, the craftsmanship was inspiring, the designs, the details, and their intent to spread culture among the aristocracy was a noble endeavor.
There was a period of several decades in the mid 15th century when the Flemish bookmakers produced books with the vellum dyed black, which could only be inscribed with gold or silver ink. This one is called "The Black Hours", from the Morgan Library in New York.

For everyone claiming that “ancestral eating” means CARNIVORE: Ancient Greek athletes actually ate a diet HIGH in FRUIT SUGARS, MODERATE in DAIRY PROTEIN, and LOW in FAT.
