I HATE this. This is actually a question I ask often. Even therapists will tell you it’s beneficial. It’s to show understanding and that we are on the same. People who respond with “this isn’t a quiz,” “I don’t need to be tested,” or “I’m not a toddler” tell me all I need to know
I just sent a paragraph explaining why something bothered me & got “yeah i apologize” back. So asked them to explain what they’re sorry for so i know they actually understand what they did & this mf cussed me out talm bout “I DONT APPRECIATE BEING HANDLED LIKE A TODDLER” 😶
