For all those who point out that none would spend 30$ for giblifying pics, that's exactly the point: with AI we're accessing services that were inaccessible before. Not counting those into GDP makes sense, but doesn't reveal the improvements in quality of life it's bringing.
@ByrneHobart Even though I am GDP-pilled thanks to Tyler Cowen, I like to joke that GDP-believers will tell you should instead of sleeping with your wife buy a subscription to only fans. In all seriousness, I think it's quasi-magical that the taxable portion of the economy (a.k.a. GDP).

If economic growth is not just exponential but double exponential, it shouldn't be surprising but expected that AI and new tech may lead to an accelerated growth rate. I asked o3 to extrapolate the trend into 2050, and it predicts yearly growth should be around 11%
