Artists need to be moving to hardware wallets. It's a not a cure all but I've worried about artist reliance on metamask etc for months. Stores need to stop relying on single addresses for identity as that encourages poor security.

Royalties have been one of the biggest sales pitches for NFTs, particularly to brands and established artists.
Essentially removing them is a spectacular way of shooting ourselves in the foot and plays fully into the idea that NFTs are only about trading.
