A much needed set of tools and standards to study cellular IRES. So happy that this study was done. I especially like the smFISH that shows tissue specific expression of isoforms.
A powerful toolbox to study IRES activity highlights the IRES-dependent translation of HOX mRNAs in a cell and tissue specific manner .

I'm giving a talk this Thursday 19 Sep on our latest work with epigenetic repressor SMCHD1 and what it does with DNA 🧬.
For human DNA to fit in our cells it must be tightly packed, meaning it is largely inaccessible. But, for living process the DNA must be accessed by enzymes. On 19 September, we explore how DNA is remodelled to enable its replication and transcription.
