📱 Non‐price interactions Female buyers were far more likely to get unsolicited messages, calls & friend requests—mostly from male accounts. And male sellers’ language was measurably more verbose, enthusiastic & even flirtatious when chatting with female buyers.

💸 Pecuniary outcomes Contrary to many offline studies, women paid the same prices and received the same product quality as men, with no evidence of gender‐based price gouging or shoddy goods. Digital platforms really can level the playing field!
