Hi #EconTwitter ! Coauthors and I are wondering if there are complications from having different treatment vs. control shares across strata? Context: we're running an experiment & recruiting participants in cohorts (strata), w/ uncertainty over treatment capacity in long-term.

Excited to share our new review on the economics of social media. Synthesizing the literature was an interesting challenge, and hopefully provides some useful insights. Mostly I enjoyed working with @PriceTheorist, Lena Song, and Guy Aridor! Link:
The literature on social media has *exploded* recently. Only in economics, the % of papers in general-interest journals that study social media increased 4-fold in 2015-2022. In this new paper, we synthesize the empirical literature on the economics of social media. (1/2)

If you have uneven attrition by treatment status, should you just focus remaining surveying on the group with lower response so far? I share my thoughts on what to do if you have surveyed 87% of T and 77% of C after regular efforts

If survey response is higher in the treatment group than the control, should you tell the survey company to just focus on the control for the last part?
