Absolutely not a sexy move but probably in a similar tier as Stu and I feel like 1A-1B is a solid situation, especially when either guy is capable of a heater
David Pagnotta: Cam Talbot, last year of his deal...no no-trade protection, if I'm the Oilers...maybe that's a call worth making; if I'm another team that's looking to solidify the goaltending position, Talbot will be a candidate later on - DFO Rundown (11/12)

Idk how a one month pitching heater combined with the collapse of 2 surefire playoff teams is more impressive than a 20 win improvement with the most comeback wins in baseball. Absolute robbery

Btw, City Council is by no means obligated to work in the best interest of a professional sports team. Sucks for the PWHL, but they aren't the only ones who vote

Another, and in my opinion funnier, way to look at this https://t.co/0cnGGkgtQC
Where would your NHL team play if its rink was the same distance and direction from City Hall as Ottawa's Arena? A thread: Anaheim and LA

Anyways, I do think that their solution will be to share an arena with the Sens. 3 years to build off a run to the finals and get the type of loyalty that will make people drive that far. But I understand the league seeing that as risky

For those of you who don't know Ottawa, great map to show what I mean (current PWHL arena is between the Ducks and Predators logos) https://t.co/cA44joILQr

And the Charge/PWHL are a good product! So they should advocate for themselves. Just saying "well why not use the bigger arena" ignores the legitimate issue of that arena having one of the worst locations in pro hockey

The problem with the Sens arena has always been that it's in Kanata. It's a problem even for the Sens. Lansdowne is a much more convenient location to try and draw fans to. Most of what the pwhl said sounded like posturing to pressure politicians by getting fans on their side
Meantime the PWHL is looking at new markets like Edmonton, Calgary, Hamilton, Quebec City, Vegas, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Denver. All 17k+ capacity. Yet they’re insisting Ottawa’s secondary arena needs to be 10k? With an NHL arena here & potentially a new one on the way? Ludicrous!

Why is a lineman WR-posting
“I like when it gets dark outside.” Why? “Because I like to turn the lights out on the offense, and now the rest of you get to feel what it’s like to be on the dark side.” @TankLawrence
