In fact, going back to 2000 AB has seen almost no growth in GDP/person. BC (not short of immigrants!) Has been doing great on GDP/person this century.

Mike's data is correct (of course) but I wouldn't so quickly tag this as an immigration-driven thing. Check which provinces have been pulling up GDP/person over this time period, and which ones dragging us down.

If we change the starting point to 2014, Canada has by far the lowest GDP per capita growth in the G7—and it's not even close.
