You know the old saying about opinions and assholes...”Every asshole has an opinion"... or something like that. Well, I have an opinion... you fill in the rest.
@haiti4eva
In 91:
Isiah = 29
Rodman = 29
Dumars = 27
Lambier = 33
Dosent look over the hill.
Moreover… if the 91 Pistons were “old”… Rodman was ancient with the Bulls in 96-98
@roddystr
@PFF
That’s funny. How about TDs, total offense, playoff appearances, passer rating? Any other metrics that might tell a better story than height.
@treyfrmthenavy
@AirJordans2323
@Jumpman23
@NBA
What does that even mean? Everyone brings the ball up in their dominant hand… then when he cuts to the rim, he only needs 2 dribbles to win
This is meaningless yammering. MJ went left, right and center for 10 scoring titles, highest career PPG in both reg season & post season.
@td_nash
I am going to be controversial. Cris Carter. These 2 have almost the exact same career numbers… It took Carter a bit longer to get “started” and while Harrison has a SB, he also had one of the greatest QBs of all time throwing to him.
Carter had to carry several low-tier QBs
@30problemz
Snap out of it… Even if they could beat all these teams, no way they’r sweeping them. This isnt even counting Russell’s & Wilt’s Championship teams
91-93, 96-98 Bulls
82, 85, 2000-02 Lakers
83 76ers
81, 84 Celtics
13 Heat
16 Cavs
03, 05, 07, 14 Spurs
71, 21 Bucks
11 Mavs
@Nathan_26_

@SamQuinnCBS
If we’re just going to go off of opinion… I’ll use mine
MJ was an elite defender… hawked the passing lanes better than any player ever. Wasn’t gambling, it was expertise
3 steals titles
Only player to be top 5 in BPG & SPG among guards
2x DBPM league leader (8x top 10)
@DBGyt_
Are you paying attention? Luka is having a great season… but Jokic is dominating him in efficiency (eFG%, TS%)… ALL the advanced metrics (PER, BPM, OBPM, DBPM, WS, OWS, DWS, W/48, VORP, Ortg, Drtg), leading his team to the 1 seed, with no other AS, as defending champ
@Cowboy_Regg
Didn’t win the SB, but they were in the SB. Just want to share some love:
1969 Minnesota Viking “Purple People Eaters” 30 Ints, 17 FR, 49 sacks, 5 Pro Bowlers. Fewer than 10pts allowed per game, leading the league in fewest points & yards allowed.
@datboykrazee
@RSherman_25
@herbluv1991
Yeah… he had a chance to condemn this line of thinking and make some amends “i crossed the line in the past. I understand, first hand, why there is no place for that line of thinking. I regret my conduct, and it shouldn’t be promoted like this.”
But no… he just popped off
@clickthatfollow
I can’t help but think Shaq’s strong advocacy for Kobe, in the GOAT conversation these days, is because he knows his ego and pride derailed their peak. They could have done more… maybe a 4-peat
He has regrets, so he is backing Kobe to “get right”
@x6ixx_
@NaismithMuse
The claim is “no right hand.” Those weren’t just open layups. They were double clutch, side steps… body control moves.
It refutes the no left hand claim on its face. If you need a full career breakdown on social media to be convinced, you are clearly a hater looking for shade
@S_U_Network
It’s not a crime, but it is considered bad form to put ketchup on a hot dog within the city limits of Chicago unless it’s for a child under the age of 12.
@td_nash
I’m gonna go with Largent. Precision route runner, soft hands, more TDs per game. He came into the abysmal expansion Seahawks and gave them signs of life.
No HoF QB or RB to help him along.
@93Abranike
@nbarealist23
I have to disagree. For every offensive skill, a player can match with a def skill.
To lock down someone like Kyrie, you need quickness, foot work, reflexes, hand-eye. Of course height and wing span is a big factor… but also helps on offense (check Giannis)
@levi_Blackerman
@TheDunkCentral
There’s no way this is a correct take. Def sucks all over the league. Putting it in Euros is nonsense. It’s not a place… it’s an era
@LeBronFactory
Gary Payton was 35 & not even an All-Star that year… BUT… he had a better line (30/4/6/2 blk on 60% FG) than Lebron (32/4/4/0 on 46% FG)
And GP had a better performance in advanced metrics = better BPM, TS%, OffRtg, DefRtg
Do you think before you type?
@Supbits31
@olympicbean
You are adorable. You believe you actually saw those games, and really understood what was happening. It’s cute in a pathetic sort of way… like story telling (cute) to delude yourself (pathetic). But… you do you.
@xPrimeHoops
@MaskedInLA
I checked the league data. No 90s players were drafted from the plumbers union. No free agents were signed from guys plunging the toilets at the arena.
Go learn something.
JJ isn’t just a liar… he’s a propagandist,
There is enough real shit in the world that gets morally corrupt propaganda thrown around about it.
It’s just cheap and lame to propagandize basketball
Claiming you watched Bird & making it seem like he was open on Pin downs constantly, Like I didn’t see Steph wide open on Split actions at times is why I watch instead of listening to JJ. This video shows you 1st hand he doesn’t really “watch games on youtube”
@SixthManJake
I love how a single play defines the complete argument… which means it’s not really an argument… it’s called panic fire. And the laughy faces are always a nice touch.
@NBAStatGuy_
That was a nice possession for Portland. Man… those 90s players were something else. Fortunately, the GOAT was able to close the series in 6 games.
@tjstip
@6Hogg6
Have to disagree. MJ rises above Lebron on defense and in the Advanced stats the weigh stats together.
Def = More BPG, SPG… 3x steals title. 9 All Def 1st team.
He also wins in the advanced stats that weigh all the stats together… PER, BPM, WinShares.
@spanish_eddie
@NBAinthezone
I think the point is, Kobe is in the conversation. Often overlooked or disregarded… these kinds of comments give credibility to the argument that Kobe is top 5… maybe
#2
@shawnemerriman
That dosent add up. Sucker punch is a cheap move intended to injure or give an unfair advantage
Hip drop is just a tactic to make the tackle. No intention to hurt or do anything unfair. We know the injury rate is high… so they want to make it illegal. Fine, but poor comparison
@td_nash
I’ll start by saying… if AP hadnt suffered the knee injury, he may have been on track for GOAT status
That said… I’m taking LTs peak. His TD volume & receiving production make him 1 of the most efficient RBs ever. Had the most efficient single season & 4 of the top 25 seasons
@haiti4eva
This is evidence they dont even know if its a real talking point. It just sounds good & satisfies their agenda
They dont expect the fact-finders to rub their noses in it
Also… r there pamphlets air dropped to Lebron stans? They seem to get on the talking points @ the same time
@td_nash
Earl Campbell v. Bo Jackson?
I would say it’s close…
Earl Campbell edges out Bo by an MVP, 3x OPOY, 3 1st team All-Pro selections, 5 Pro Bowl appearances, 3 Rushing Titles, about 7000 yds, around 60 TDs, and an AFC Conference Championship appearance
But close
@TuckerDaleBooth
@Super70sSports
Ur’s is also easy to rebut. Longevity is only 1 factor of GOAT debate & it doesnt refute the claim that MJ is better at O & D
Defending 1-5 doesnt indicate doing it well or often. Hollow claim
MJ BPG > Lebron BPG
Superior stats? meaning cumulative? Not a measure of performance
Earl Campbell v. Bo Jackson?
It’s close…

I thought it should have been Allen. He was the primary reason the Bills even made the playoffs. LJ had a good regular season on a strong team.

Keep trying brother. I’m sure you can find another random fall, and convince yourself that you can convince others it’s a flop.
The “watered-down” talking point dosent hold water (see what I did there)
*** Need facts ***
Top 30 scorers from MJs era scored @ a > level than top 30 from Lebrons
As a sample, here’s the “best” season for each (‘91 v. ‘13)
MJs era has higher upper, lower & median value

Why? His team is in the play-in. Not like they dominated the league,
And the Nuggets swept them last season. It’s just another team brother.

Of course, Empire is more pivotal to the Skywalker saga

I was in college in the 90s. It was a great time. My nostalgia decade is the 80s. I clear about a quarter million a year now. So Im fond of the 2020s as well. 2000s was the worst… out of school, real world on entry level salary. Yikes. 2010s were good.
Oh yeah… MJ is the GOAT
@BronGotGame
It was an intense series. Lebron’s numbers were great. Orlando won for 3 reasons:
1) The Magic role-players were engaged and took turns contributing
2) Howard controlled the glass
3) Magic shot 20 more 3s and hit at 8% better
@John99440330
@LeBronFactory
I was going to say the same thing… 35 & not even an All-Star that year. But he had a better line (30/4/6/2 blk on 60% FG) than Lebron (32/4/4/0 on 46% FG)
And GP had a better performance in advanced metrics = better BPM, TS%, OffRtg, DefRtg

@SalSports
Fantastic story. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like there were quite a few pisans in the mix. Love it.
I gotta believe your old man is proud. God bless you and yours.
Lets imagine MJ couldnt dribble or shoot left handed. That means he got 10 scoring titles, 5 MVPs, 6 rings, 10 1st team All-NBA, highest career PPG in both the regular & postseason… with 1 hand. They dont even think about the implications of their claims
