Our kids will be soon be sacrificial lambs on the frontlines, dodging drug users who loiter on school property, while drug deals, prostitution & crime happens for blocks around the shelter, at all hours. How could we possibly have put a shelter next door to 4 schools?@fordnation

Another shelter stabbing, this time at the Roehampton. What else do we need to prove out here before politicans correct flawed strategies? @fordnation we have lost faith in municipal leaders with their dumb ass ideas on how to manage this. Where the hell are you on the issue?

Why is this so confusing? It's not about being uncompassionate towards the less fortunate or those with mental illness. We all care. It's simply about protecting kids. Politicians need to own their mistakes and correct them. Drug dens have no place near schools. Period.

Midtown's now a ginsu knives commercial "But, wait! There's more!" All in 24hrs: -Heads up. 15 mins ago at NW Corner of Yonge & Davisville a couple was robbed in front of the subway shop. A male snatched their bag as he pushed the male down & ran off. @JohnTory @JustinTrudeau

They roam streets with knives all day. I get groceries online as I'm too scared to go to #Loblaws. Too many people have been accosted on the street. I'm a senior citizen. Now afraid to go to the laundry room by myself! Lived on Broadway for 43 yrs and now afraid to do laundry!!!

More voices...my letter to Tory , Ford and Josh Matlow @JohnTory You increased police presence at 55/65 and I assume at Roehampton but where's the security for the rest of the community? Addicts and mentally unstable have no curfew. They roam streets with knives until 5 - 6 a.m

Non-stop action at the Broadway shelter, isn't it @JohnTory?! How much tax payer money was spent this afternoon to respond to the fire? How much this week for policing? Better pull in @fordnation and @JustinTrudeau to create a real solution for the crimes caused by the homeless.

Now over 2,600 midtown residents in just one FB group, set up to discuss community concerns with these shelters. We are growing by hundreds - daily - as people unite to take back our community. Great system when under 200 new neighbours ruin the area for thousands.

Yet another incident of a woman using our streets as a toilet - right outside the Tim Hortons on Yonge south of Eglinton. Very disturbing. Just so much 💩 on streets, in condo entries, on playgrounds, etc. but they have private bathrooms in the shelters. Disgusting disrespect!
