😮!! £13.5m from the Housing Revenue Account to solicitors in JUST 3 months.
Before #Lambeth go cap in hand to government for more money they might like to explain why they paid a firm of solicitors £13.5M in the last quarter out of the HRA account. The HRA is supposed to be used for looking after people's homes.@robjfirth @Jason_Cobb @gamecounsel

The amount the council has spent buying back properties and building new at £450,000 each, instead of maintaining and renting out the homes it has is criminal. In many cases, it's buying back to board up. ⬇️ These many be original council or bought back.
This is ridiculous nonsense! .Over 68 empty properties are on Central Hill Estate, some, four-bedroom. 'Reclaimed from the Right to Buy' for absolute ££millions to be left empty. This is a chaotic nightmare, nothing to do with housing the homeless. Here are 4 out of 12 empty.
