@UKLabour Is one of these priorities having a roof over your head? If so, @LambethLabour is already failing...

@LambethLabour @clairekholland How about the tenants you are evicting via your shadow millions of wasted pounds company, Homes for Lambeth? Utter hypocrisy is Lambeth Labour’s hallmark.

130 housing estates threatened with demolition and rebuilding rather than refurb, which is cheaper coz… there’s a 20% VAT tax on refurb! Why, in an ever-deepening climate crisis, won’t the Treasury make this simple change? Who are the Blockers?? https://t.co/z2lqOE2YRU

The government should reduce the VAT paid on retrofit projects to reflect their environmental benefits compared with new-build, a committee of MPs has said

Buzzed: Lambeth expects most homeless households will be moved outside Lambeth – and often outside the southeast – under new council policy https://t.co/VJ4rXXlMq1

@StephenMorganMP Multiple Labour councils have made the political choice to make their own tenants HOMELESS. How do you square that circle? https://t.co/ucPDoZzyGz

@mtpennycook And until then, councils like Lambeth Labour council, will keep issuing S21 eviction notices to Homes for Lambeth tenants.

@SteveReedMP This government is stabbing renters in the back. https://t.co/WjydfYua9C
@SteveReedMP Labour is delivering on making families HOMELESS. @LambethLabour is currently using no-fault evictions against its own tenants — the very same no-fault evictions this current Labour government has just outlawed, served by the council Steve used to be the leader of.

This is possibly one of the worst things I have ever heard. How can any council that even wants to give the impression they care about residents do this. Pure evil.
🚨 Islington Council sent bailiffs to evict a man with incurable cancer. He was turfed onto the streets with just the clothes on his back and his crutches. They then disposed of his belongings including medication. He told me he has to wash in McDonald’s toilets and sleep on

@SteveReedMP @OliDugmore Former Lambeth leader: "It's the ambition that everyone has a safe and secure home" Current Lambeth leader: "Every family in Lambeth deserves a safe and secure place to call home" Lambeth Council: *proceeds to make dozens of families homeless* https://t.co/nDhXt4bP6V
HYPOCRITE ALERT! Lambeth Council's leader, @clairekholland, praises the Renters' Rights Bill while acting directly in breach of it. Despite this Labour government having just abolished no-fault evictions, @LambethLabour continues to use them to make Lambeth families HOMELESS.

@UKLabour You sure you're working to end homelessness, @UKLabour? Our Labour council is making dozens of families homeless... @LambethLabour is using no-fault evictions against its own tenants — the very same no-fault evictions this Labour government has just banned.

@LambethLabour You’re forcing HfL Tenants out of their homes and into insecure temporary accommodation — making your own tenants HOMELESS. One family is even being told to leave just days before Christmas. https://t.co/ucPDoZz0R1

@LeftieStats @LambethLabour says it’s to house the homeless... by making current tenants homeless. Make it make sense.

Only 41% of renters think Labour is doing a good job. Two-thirds of Londoners aged 25–45 are borrowing just to cover housing costs. Yet @dannyadilypour claims none of us will become homeless if evicted — while the council already treats us like we are. https://t.co/sQNNtpncwp

Buzzed: Lambeth Council turns to private landlord for £5.8m homeless housing deal in Streatham https://t.co/JwHrLnQWSr "The deal may save millions - but it also underlines how far Lambeth’s housing response now depends on the private market rather than public stock"

@PeoplesAudit @DemolitionsLdn @pete556 @GreenPartyScott @LibDemDonna @HousingActionSL @lswaffield1 @cplocal @brixtonbuzz That's precisely the question! Despite Lambeth Council claiming they urgently need our homes for the homeless (whilst completely skipping past the fact they'd be making us homeless in the process), many of the former HfL Tenants' homes are still empty. Why???
