The FT and other pub’s real bread and butter is access and trend stories. You can’t replicate those with AI unless you’re either interviewing execs yourself. Otherwise if you’re just taking news and personalizing it, you’re publishing after it’s moved markets.

People don’t want a chatbot that tells them “this news impacted your position this much.” That’s a watchlist and a number and they have both already. They want a curated collection of info outside of the obvious things they know impact their portfolio.

This kind of approach is how to get the most out of a show like mad men imo. It’s not about who’s right and who’s wrong. It’s about the relationship between these two people and why both people did what they did and reacted how they did

There’s a reason you can’t name characters in AVATAR outside of “Jake Sully” and it has NOTHING to do with the franchise’s place in culture. It’s because studio execs have been pushing writers to not have characters names used in dialogue.
