Same in my online exercise classes. We hear the coughing online or rough sounding voices before my instructor mutes them. They will privately text the instructor of their sudden onset health conditions.
The illness that whispers is the one that lingers. I want to talk about what repeat Covid infections immune invasion looks like almost 7 years in. Covid is frightening now not because the symptoms are dramatic,but because they are quiet. I wake up and I just feel off.Not sick.

I do live exercise classes through Zoom, but hear the same stories from the other participants as well as the coughing during the little bit of chatter before the class starts, and after it ends.
Every day feels like waking up from the same bad dream, except I never get to wake up. I put my tennis shoes on. Hair tied up high pony tail. I grab my gym backpack. I head to work. And before I even leave the house, my brain starts scanning the future like a threat radar:
