Surgery = faster and better chance of cure, and better long-term hand function but palm pain for ~9 months . Injection = slower recovery (average 18 months instead of 9 with surgery), worse hand function & still, 50% need surgery within 18 months. Decision = no 🧠er

Surgery has a higher chance of cure than a steroid injection in every measured situation. 👏 Major kudos to the Dutch CTS study group .
