If you're even half interested in energy, I bet you've seen this chart. I call it The Most Hopeful Chart in the World. The point? We're embracing renewable power MUCH faster than expected. Hurrah! Only problem is, this chart has an evil twin. A chart we really need to discuss 🧵

We’re going to hear lots of stories about which people, policies and rhetoric are to blame for the Democrats’ defeat. Some of those stories may even be true! But an underrated factor is that 2024 was an absolutely horrendous year for incumbents around the world 👇

Thank you to the many thousands of people across the whole of the NHS & social care who helped deliver the care during the pandemic. Has been a strange and difficult day. But felt it was important to give witness to some small part of the enormity of the challenge we all faced.

After an 11 hour Jönköping to Münster drive (no potholes!) we returned to Parkhotel 🏰 Hohenfeld. Spent today exploring the Dom and then the fab #Picasso lithograph gallery that also hosted a unexpected but poignant #RobertCapa 20th century war photography retrospective.

Lovely evening walking cobbled streets of #Porvoo old town up to the medieval cathedral. 16 years of ❤️ memories flooded back. Our comfortable Hotel Runo was the library and we dined in Zum Beispiel that was the old Simolin department store. Café Helmi ☕️🍰 tomorrow @malinbomberg

🔥🔥 Excellent! “Brexit was definitely a problem for science. We were part of a very successful European funding scheme with very large collaborations… You can’t do the type of science that everyone’s trying to do and make progress in isolation.” Spot on.
