Property taxes are actually so insane if you think about it because it’s like I thought I owned it? what if I have no money? it’s not even taxes on the sale or on transactions it’s just taxes every year like what.

We passed a modest tax on high earnings in Seattle, and high earnings boomed like crazy. "JumpStart" has not hurt jobs in any detectable way. Don't believe the Republican hype (too often peddled by conservative Dems, sadly).
Friends - I looked at Seattle's "JumpStart" payroll tax on high incomes. I keep hearing rumors that it is driving jobs out of town. That's been false for years, and it turns out it still is. It's a lie. I'll send out a writeup next week.
