A Scottish guy (I think) called Ian F just delivered our shopping @sainsburys . Spotting the challenging in the household he offered to bring it in. brilliantly helpful. A older chap with a lovely smile. After he left we were all boosted. What a brilliant staff member. (Leeds)

Apparently I joined Twitter ten years ago today. I use it (personal account) approximately once a year I reckon. And intend to keep it that way. #MyTwitterAnniversary #breakfreefromyourphone

A quick thread on in the importance of being careful what data you share - even if you're the Queen. Today, Her Maj tweeted this lovely picture, gor bless er, etc. You might think that the contents of the red box would be official business. And you'd be right. 1/6

We would ALL do better to take this attitude to our own little selves. Honestly, everything would be better.
My 3 yo said goodnight to all of us tonight and then in the dark I heard her little voice say, “Goodnight myself. I love you. [pause] I love you too.” Don’t let anyone take that from you, little one.

I always thought it was a bit cheeky for private companies to ask for this. Some private medical businesses really take the Micky with nhs services. Who else has had to sort the complications in ED? And so on. And so on….
@StSenka @DrShanHussain Many UK private providers use NHS GPs for mandatory referrals, ?why 1) insurance Co wants GP to filter out pointless requests to save them money? 2) private HCP wants GP to summarise & provide hx?

The NHS has been here since 1948 serving me & you. And me & you of old, dutifully and in spite of us. This is my Gran & me. She & her generation couldn’t believe something as immense as the NHS existed. That is why I will always fight for the NHS as part of @nhsmillion. Please RT

I have finally managed to get some LF sent after I originally tried my hospital then chemists.Meaning that I would be trapped by testing for the full 10 days. ‘Luckily’ (kinda) I am still spiking fevers/feeling rotten so not an issue. But this is a stupid reason for understaffing
I am down to my last LFT test and finding it impossible to find a pharmacy with more at the moment, so do we just give up testing before work now?

Wow. And this is what we are dealing with. Directed at me. RT if you think this is outrageous behaviour towards NHS staff.

As NHS workers, we understand fear – we empathise with anxiety surrounding the vaccine. We should not have to tolerate abuse

Never thought I would agree with @Jeremy_Hunt but it has actually happened.. he is right about GPs. They need support and acknowledgement of the actual problems. Not scapegoating for what they didn’t cause. And not a health secretary who addresses a faux issues rather than real
A few thoughts on the government’s GP rescue plan announced today….firstly they are right to address crisis in this sector. Some good ideas including a new NHS covenant modeled on the military and more transparency about performance.

LOVE this by med students Ellie Read & Dave Simmonds.. they hit the nail on the head more than our press are managing to right now. From 2019 but still relevant (& happily after seeing how incredible our GPs are they are both now practicing doctors!)
