We’re excited to announce our 1st grant to @ICR_London. The ~£50k award will help build a tissue bank to support @HuangLabICR & @DrSanjayPopat @royalmarsden's study of resistance in ALK & EGFR #lungcancer. Thanks to all donors! Supporting #research is why we exist. #LCAM #LCSM

Patients need more treatments in clinic and oncologists need clear information on optimal treatment pathways. More research can answer these questions and will lead to better outcomes #LCAM #MoreResearchMoreLife
The past decade has been transformative for #lungcancer. The discovery of mutation-driven lung cancers like ALK+ have led to the creation of targeted therapies and created more longer-term lung cancer survivors. It's why @DrRiyazShah, believes #MoreResearchMoreLife. #LCAM

Help us help Yvonne, thousands of other ALK+ patients and their families. #LCAM
As a healthy, working mum, Yvonne was shocked when a cough led to a stage 4 #ALKPositive #lungcancer diagnosis last Sept. @Yvonne_diaz_'s oral med is inhibiting her cancer. With more research, we can keep it this way. 👉 https://t.co/9fKZDob9Cf

#LungCancer is the #1 cancer killer worldwide. But #MedicalResearch can help change that. Just 15 years ago we learned about #ALKPositive cancer. Today, with research, we have treatment options, but still no cure. Professor @DrSanjayPopat believes: #MoreResearchMoreLife

#LungCancerAwarenessMonth starts tomorrow. Many of us w/ ALK #lungcancer silently thank the medical & research community who work hard to develop better ways to treat #lungcancer. To reap the benefits of science, we need more research. Great poll 👇 #MoreResearchMoreLife #LCAM
November is #LungCancerAwarenessMonth. We believe more research equals more life. Lung cancer #medical, #oncologist, #researcher & #patient community: What are the biggest #research priorities for #ALKPositive #lungcancer? #MoreResearchMoreLife #LCAM #MedTwitter #LCSM

Did you know that #lungcancer is the biggest killer of all #cancers? It kills more people annually than breast, prostate and bowel cancer combined. Unfortunately, it is alo the least funded cancer, as Dr @christine_lovly shares. It’s why we believe #MoreResearchMoreLife. #LCAM

So proud and lucky to have a great big brother! A lot of money raised towards research and he looked great doing it! ♥️
A #cancer diagnosis often makes you grateful for every day. But some days are more meaningful. We are grateful for the commitment, sacrifice & heart of our trustee Jamie's brother Andy. He ran @LondonMarathon, his 1st ever, in just over 4 hours, & raised over £4k for us. 🧵 1/2

It is very likely that these ALK-positive pediatric cancers will also benefit from future developments. We need to keep urgently driving towards them
It's #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth & we're grateful for #MedicalResearch for giving us treatment options for some #ALKPositive pediatric cancers. For example, a 3 year old boy whose ALK+ glioma is treated with ALK+ #cancer inhibitor Lorlatinib https://t.co/xWpPoAl5m3

@kitty_is_odd While #ALKPositive #cancer occurs mainly in the lungs, it can also occur in other places like the bowels, breast and several childhood cancers. It’s why we believe in supporting all ALK+ cancer #research. #ResearchSavesLives #lcsm #ccam #ChildhoodCancerAwarenesaMonth

We urgently need more research and treatments for all ALK-positive patients and their families ♥️
Today marks #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth. While #ALKPositive cancer occurs in #lungcancer, it's also found in childhood #glioblastoma #neuroblastoma #ALCL & more. #Research is key for people like Kira w Replapsing ALK neuroblastoma – diagnosed at 11.👉🏽 https://t.co/qt2AJLGdNP

As a charity, the most critical thing is to align your mission with those you serve. This response is evidence that our objectives truly are in line with what the ALK community wants.
In our survey released at @IASLC #WCLC we found that 91% of #ALKPositive #cancer patients prioritise #research funding over patient support & awareness campaigns. All funds we raise go to #MedicalResearch. Please help us further ALK+ cancer research. https://t.co/VSlrxvWiCq

Another reason why we do what we do. Yes lung cancer is underfunded, but other ALK cancers also benefit hugely from ALK specific treatments and therefore ALK+ research. It is not a periphery benefit for us, it is a choice. Treat the biomarker, not the organ. #ResearchSavesLives
Kira is a typical teen but has an atypical problem: Relapsing #ALKPositive #Neuroblastoma. In her 8 years since diagnosis at 11, she’s had a lot of gruelling treatments and travelled widely for care. Read her remarkable story at https://t.co/qt2AJLGdNP.

Great to see the need for #BiomarkerTesting being discussed in mainstream media. #ALKPositive #biomarkersmatter
ALK+ International Trustee Jan Clark spoke w/ @CalumAM @Timesradio about the "game-changing" role #BiomarkerTesting played in her daughter Amy's #ALKPositive #lungcancer diagnosis. Jan (@janclarkgirls) speaks at 1hr 42mins. #BiomarkersMatter @ICR_London
