Beware of people telling you that “these are dark times.” They are invested in you believing this. They are counting on financially profiting off you hating life. They are not your friends. Live it up. There’s a reason you’re here right now.

Bernie, you must not respect your constituents if you think they'll fall for this. If I may, can we go through a few of the logical fallacies here? You present a list of national life expectancies to conclude that the US should have your version of single payer: Medicare for

These three images show exactly why Americans are angry about healthcare. Hard-working, middle-class taxpayers are funding a system that transfers their money straight to the wealthy. Bill and Shelly retired early and spend their time traveling, yet taxpayers subsidize their

Early retirees like Bill & Shelly will see their health insurance premiums increase nearly 300%—from $442 to $1,700 per month if Congressional Republicans refuse to extend the enhanced tax credits. That's an extra $15K a year families can't afford. https://t.co/lW0aJVN5aZ

The richest people in the country aren’t stressing that their health care costs could double. No, they’re getting tax breaks. Thanks to Trump, the super wealthy have never had it this good. Working people are suffering from Trump’s higher costs.

Long day in the hospital today. Surprisingly busy for Fall. Hard to imagine what winter will be like. Golden tip if you have a loved one in the hospital: Be the BEST advocate you can. Be there at the bedside as much as possible watching over things like a hawk, for however long

I spot the fraud and nonsense in the AI bubble because I’ve seen it all in healthcare for 20+ years. Posers, fakers, and wannabes (shoutout to Brennan Manning) use the same tired playbook: slick promises, fear-mongering, bullying, and empty threats when they don’t get their way.

Hand and spine are the most physiologically oriented sub disciplines of a field dominated by anatomical surgery. There’s nothing anatomic about a tendon transfer, spine fusion, or nerve release. But done for the proper indication are v effective.

Have We Been Looking in the Wrong Place? I’ve been a surgeon for over 25 years, and the longer I practice, the less I’m interested in structure — and the more I’m drawn to physiology. I don’t ignore the structure… but I weigh the findings differently. Early in my career, I

To understand why hospitals and health systems prices are so high, and why physician-owned hospital prices are so low you need to appreciate the mechanism of payment. 73% of HCA hospitals are on percent-of-billed-charges contracts (>85% of non-profit hospitals are still on the

Groceries. Rent. Utilities. Everything is too expensive. And Republicans’ plan? Jack up your health insurance premiums by hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars. I’m fighting to make sure that doesn’t happen.

In order for the price of drugs to fall, whether it’s for Trumprx or any approach, the first thing that needs to happen is for every state to require that cash pay drug or care purchases be applied to the patient’s insurance plan deductible and OOP max. @GovStitt @GovofCO

Thread: There is a lot to unpack in this very uninformed comment. So, let's dive into what James actually wants. Let's get one thing out of the way first. Obamacare did not contain costs. What it did do is make healthcare worse for certain groups. How?

Right. That's why US healthcare is so much more expensive than all those countries with government-provided insurance or full govt-run healthcare systems.

Imagine we mandated everyone have car insurance that covers new tires, oil changes, and wiper fluid. People would use more of those services. Sure, some people driving on dangerously bald tires would finally get new ones. You might even prevent the occasional crash. But you’d
