We’ve got used to hearing how awful the UK’s knife crime problem is. It still is. But in Greater Manchester medics also believe something is slowly starting to change. WATCH https://t.co/QHjOz2S5mt Prod: @emupton Camera: @DeanMassey25

My new book is out this week. It's a story about a lot of things, including - what happened to me in 2022 , the NHS, Emergency Medicine, body image, hiding in work, and zumba. @anna_annabav @jotalbotbowen @RCEM_VP @RCollEM @RCEMpresident @DrSdeG https://t.co/sTDJQ6KQZS

I frequently get requests to do something different in EDs for a specific patient group. Here's the thing, asking us explicitly to prioritise one condition is also tacitly asking us to deprioritise others.

Fantastic article by @rmjenner et al. I’m been guilty of the adultification of young people in whom I’ve managed as older than the child they are. Safeguarding, vulnerability and mental health issues make this a very complex area with no easy answers. https://t.co/tIUrjzldjc
