Thank you to our @BMA_NI colleagues for a very useful and constructive meeting this morning on the current HSC pay crisis and the co-ordination of our approaches to the issue, including in relation to potential industrial action. Both professions are clearly on the same page.

Frankly outrageous that NI Nurses may be forced on to picket lines again. When will our NI colleagues be shown the same respect for their critical work ?!
@RCN_NI It is unbelievable that once again our members could be forced to take industrial action to get a pay rise. They have worked tirelessly in a broken system to try to deliver for patients . Their reward ? No payrise yet and a suggestion they may have to accept less. Just No

A timely reminder today that England have instructed an early pay review body report for next year (25/6) to get uplift into pockets in April next year. Meanwhile we stall, bicker and let our staff down here for this year (24/5, and it’s November!!)
What @wesstreeting says is important here, and timely the key word with an aim to apply uplifts in April. We need @mikenesbittni to say exactly the same here and then the Dept to honour it. We simply can’t keep being left behind.
