The RCN is taking part in a rally on Monday 25 November for the elimination of gender based violence. Our Executive Director, Professor Rita Devlin will be speaking. If you would like to join us please email john.knape@rcn.org.uk. The rally begins at 6pm Writer's Square, Belfast.

Thank you to our @BMA_NI colleagues for a very useful and constructive meeting this morning on the current HSC pay crisis and the co-ordination of our approaches to the issue, including in relation to potential industrial action. Both professions are clearly on the same page.

In 2020, we ended our strike based on the β€˜New Decade, New Approach’ promise that nursing staff in NI would never again fall behind UK pay parity. Enough is enough. It’s unacceptable that our members may face industrial action yet again just to get the same pay as colleagues

@RCN_NI It is unbelievable that once again our members could be forced to take industrial action to get a pay rise. They have worked tirelessly in a broken system to try to deliver for patients . Their reward ? No payrise yet and a suggestion they may have to accept less. Just No
