I REALLY like this idea. What if you changed the directions to ask them to "Explain why the answer is correct or incorrect" and sometimes had an incorrect answer? Would this make it better or defeat the purpose?

I am more tired at the end of the day teaching than I am being a waiter on my legs the whole time. People who have never worked in a school severely underestimate the energy and stamina it takes to be a teacher.
Watch a teacher make roughly ~1,000 instructional decisions in about 45 seconds. Only a few of them are about the lesson but the lesson depends on ALL of them. This is one of the hardest things to explain about teaching to people who have never taught.
