I'm adding a 4th item. Always keep your WordPress plugins and themes up-to-date. The security exploits in WordPress plugins are published to places that hackers like to hang out, so it's very important to keep them up to date always.

For my clients, I setup a n8n workflow that alerts me whenever a password is changed or an admin logins from somewhere they shouldn't be. That way if an attack does happen, our defenses can go up straight away.
