After @researchEDBmth and an epic talk from @SinghAmarbeerG, I spoke to my yr9’s, showed them notes from said talk, and proved to them that Exam Q’s & Spaced Retrieval were the only ways to revise.. They suddenly all believed me… refused to before, mind 😂 #teachinglife

How do you get kids to love reading? Make it central to everything you do. Well chosen, high quality texts, rich in vocabulary will do the heavy lifting when threaded mindfully across the curriculum. Loved listening to @MaryMyatt exemplify this at @researchEDBmth

If I never got to speak @researchEDBmth again I would be content simply listening. What an amazing event attended by amazing practitioners sharing great thoughts challenging excellence in education. Humbled to be asked back. 🙏🏾 I will share what I spoke on soon.

I had fully ghosted Twitter/X..whatever we call it now… but then I went to @researchED1 in Bournemouth yesterday, and I was reminded of how incredible this platform is for teachers. So.. here I am. Back again. Tail between legs 😂 #teacherlife

It’s the day after @researchEDBmth and I am still buzzing about the sessions I attended. What a fantastic opportunity to invest in my own PD and the students I teach. I know it’s in our own time but I would thoroughly recommend going to events like these if you can. So Worth it!
