New from me @Mollykinder Josh Kendall and Maddie Lee: how should we be tracking the impact of AI on the labor market? Tldr: no signs of major disruptions yet, but we plan to update our trackers monthly 1/

I have an op-ed in Bloomberg today on the Intel deal. It’s fine for the government to take equity stakes. The problem with the administration’s recent moves is that Trump wants governance rights to advance his own personal power, not industrial policy.

1) Erika is a career civil servant. No one is more dedicated to the integrity of the numbers than Erika. 2) If you want to get people not to believe in the numbers BLS is putting out, firing the respected head of BLS is an interesting choice

I had the pleasure of working with Bill Beach in the Biden Admin. He was President Trump's pick to run BLS, and he served his full term – an important sign for trustworthy labor market data. Erika McEntarfer is also a highly skilled professional who should not have been fired.

The totally groundless firing of Dr. Erika McEntarfer, my successor as Commissioner of Labor Statistics at BLS, sets a dangerous precedent and undermines the statistical mission of the Bureau. For a full statement opposing this move, read:

As Republicans passed their budget bill slashing health care and SNAP, @USDOL tried to quietly write regulations making it easier to: 1) Steal workers' wages; 2) Make workers less safe; 3) Intimidate workers trying to organize. This is what a War on Workers looks like.

This bill isn’t just an economic travesty, it’s a moral one. Forget trickle down economics; we’re now in a greed-first economy, one that will take great moral courage to overturn.

The NLRA is under attack, and it’s not just workers who would lose out. Unions are fundamental to a functioning democracy, and strong unions can mount a defense for workers and for democracy. Read our latest in @DemJournal ⬇️ https://t.co/3iDEy6w1rb

I'm David Seligman.  I’m running for CO Attorney General.  This campaign is about reclaiming our power from the billionaires who have stolen it from us, from working families. We will fight. And we will win. Because we love our country the promise it made: The law belongs to us.

Victims are still in the water. The Blackhawk crew is still strapped into the cockpit. Families are mourning. And Trump is blaming DEI, suggesting our pilots and air traffic controllers don't deserve their jobs. We need compassion and leadership— Our President showed none.
